Youth Teams
Altrincham FC Youth teams section compete in the North West Youth Alliance League with two squads and the North West U21 Development League. This is a part time football programme compliments our full time Altrincham FC Elite Academy. 2022/23 will be the twelfth season we have competed at this level of Football. There is a substantial difference in the ability level from local league football. Over the last three seasons, the Colts are predominantly an U16/U17 team which allows players to develop and get stronger in their first season in the NWYA. Whilst the Premier square are U17/U18. This system has been used – to good effect – by not only ourselves but Clubs such as Chester, Hyde, Curzon Ashton have now adopted our strategy in recent seasons. Both teams train together to aid transparency and opportunity across the groups. The Premier League team is managed by Paul Fay and the Colts by Sara Newton.
